Small Middle School youth leaders have been busy! Over the past semester they worked with University of Texas students Pang-Sheng Lai and Chi-Ting Fan on an app to prevent cyberbullying.
The middle school students shared personal experiences, ideas, and opinions about how young people hurt each other online and what can be done to prevent it.
These conversations helped inform the development of Rethink Cyberbullying, a “choose your own adventure” game exploring the impact of sexting on a group of friends. The students entered the app into a national contest and presented it to students and program staff.
