Families struggling to lead violence-free lives can feel extra strain when kids go back to school. Issues of homelessness, unemployment and lack of resources can make it exceedingly difficult for parents recovering from violence to provide all the necessary school supplies for his or her children.
39% of SafePlace residents are children. SafePlace will serve over 100 children on their first day of school, and over 300 during the whole school year
Can you help provide school supplies for children whose families are getting help from SafePlace?
While we are hoping to receive the majority of back to school items by August 8th so all our kids can receive supplies before the start of school, we will gratefully accept donations through the end of August.
