The 2019 SAFEMen Forum has concluded. Please check back for time and dates for the 2020 forum.

You’re invited to the second annual SAFEMen Forum. Please join us from 9 to 11:30 a.m. on April 23 at the JW Marriott in Austin as we gather local leaders to create concrete plans on how they and their institutions will work to break the cycle of violence.

The morning will start with a panel of community leaders who will talk about how they are identifying problem areas in their institutions and their everyday lives, and how they are working to enact change.

These community leaders include:

Geronimo Rodriguez –  Chief Advocacy Officer at Seton and Chair of the AISD Board

Tim League – CEO of Alamo Drafthouse

Quan Cosby – Former NFL player and VP of Risk Management at Marsh & McLennan Companies

Following this panel we will have a break-out session where all attendees will talk more in depth about the issues they face. Our expert facilitators will guide these conversations and discuss ways to take real action against sexual harassment and assault, as well as how to talk with others about this important work. Our goal is for everyone to leave with three initiatives that will improve their work against sexual harassment and assault.

At last year’s forum, we had approximately 80 men from across the community engaged in strong and difficult dialogues. We hope to continue that conversation this year.

This is a complimentary forum, complete with a light breakfast. We would be pleased for you to join us and we encourage you to invite your friends and colleagues as well.

Thank you for your commitment to breaking the cycle of violence and creating a culture of respect.
