Senior Director of CARES and Alumni Services
Kari Hamilton is the Senior Director of CARES and Alumni services. She provides leadership and oversight to multi-faceted programs focused on sex trafficking, exploitation, and former foster youth.
She has over 10 years of experience working in the child welfare system, primarily residential. Prior to her current role she was the Senior Director or Residential Services with SAFE, overseeing multiple programs that provide 24/7 care and support to youth in the foster care system. She has extensive experience and training in trauma-informed care and responsiveness, crisis management, case management, therapeutic modalities and program development. Her eclectic background of residential work and intermittent international work in developing countries has bred a passion and desire for ongoing efforts to develop and create programs to meet community needs.
Kari is a Licensed Master Social Worker, receiving her MA from St. Ambrose University in Iowa, BA from University of Northern Iowa, and is a Licensed Child Care Administrator.
