Fore the Children: A golf tournament to remember

On Oct. 1, 80 golfers from Austin’s surrounding communities gathered at the Spanish Oaks Golf Club for an 18-hole tournament to benefit the youth at the SAFE Children’s Shelter. This year’s annual tourney raised $120,000 for SAFE services and programs!

Attendees teed off mid-morning after a breakfast buffet and enjoyed uninterrupted golf, gourmet comfort stations, and a fabulous post-tournament luncheon, topped off by high-end awards.

The generous proceeds from this event will provide much needed resources in the form of support services and materials for SAFE’s youngest clients as they continue their path toward safety and healing. In addition to raising money for the SAFE Children’s Shelter, Fore the Children also raises awareness about the impact of family violence on children and youth.
