Particularly during a time of crisis, we rely on community in-kind donations to help us provide basic needs, clothing, and household items to assist survivors and their families. We could not do the work we do without your ongoing support – so, from all of us at SAFE, thank you!

If you have questions about acceptable donations, or would like to discuss donating in-kind services, office furniture, IT equipment, or other items that may support staff or operations, please email inkind@safeaustin.org. (Continue to the bottom of the page to see more information about Seasonal Kits, Wishlists and Frequently Asked Questions.)

How to Donate Items

You can support the SAFE Warehouse in several ways:

  • Shop our registries: Purchase items from our Amazon and Target registries, which ship directly to our warehouse.
  • Mail donations: Gift cards or small items can be mailed to
    P.O. Box 19454, Austin, TX 78760.
  • Drop off donations: Deliver items directly to the SAFE Warehouse at
1401 Grove Blvd., Austin, TX 78741. (In-person drop-off only; please do not ship items to this address).

Warehouse Hours

Beginning April 1, the warehouse transitioned to new hours of operation.

Open: Tuesday – Friday, 10am – 4pm
Open: 3rd Saturday of the month, 10am – 4pm
Closed: Mondays

For security reasons, please drop items off only during regular warehouse hours.

Please do not leave donations outside the warehouse when staff are unavailable or after hours, including weekends.

Our warehouse space is limited, and items left outside may be damaged by weather or unable to be used. Donations left outside the warehouse cannot be accepted and may need to be discarded due to limited storage space or exposure to the elements. When this happens, our operations team must arrange for disposal, which takes resources away from programs and adds unnecessary waste to local landfills.

Helping us follow these guidelines ensures donations can go directly to supporting survivors and their families.

Please note the warehouse schedule is based on staff capacity. There may be times when staff are not able to meet donors at the dock to accept items. When this occurs, donation bins and instructions will be available. Occasionally, hours may vary due to operational needs.

The warehouse will also be closed on the following dates:

  • January 1, 2026
  • January 14 – closed 11:30am – 2:15pm
  • January 19
  • May 25
  • June 19
  • September 7
  • November 26-27
  • December 19
  • December 24-25
  • December 31 – closed at 1pm
  • January 1, 2027
