SAFE’s Eloise House clinic provides 24/7 free sexual assault advocacy support and crisis intervention. Forensic exams and medical care are also available at no cost, and must be arranged by appointment.

If you think that you may have been sexually assaulted, there are options. Rape is never your fault, no matter the circumstances.

To talk confidentially about options, you can contact SAFEline by phone, text, or chat. There is no pressure—just information. Everything is confidential and free of charge at SAFE.

If you choose, SAFEline staff can arrange a free private exam by a forensic nurse at Eloise House, which is securely located on SAFE’s Grove Boulevard campus. The gentle, kind nurses at SAFE can provide both medical care and evidence collection (commonly referred to as rape kits).

If possible, you should not change clothes, shower, brush your teeth, eat or drink, or use the bathroom until after the exam. It’s OK if you have already done any of these things.

SAFE’s Sexual Assault Advocates:

Our advocates provide emotional support and discuss your options, including a sexual assault forensic exam, evidence collection (rape kits), reporting to police, counseling referrals, safety planning, and more.

Advocates aren’t affiliated with police, the medical system or the legal/criminal justice system — they help you to understand these systems and your rights as a victim of a crime. Advocates can also coordinate available resources in the community and provide you with follow-up services.

Our compassionate, well-trained advocates can provide an important step toward healing.
