Senior Director of Sexual Assault and Health Services

Juliana Gonzales oversees all programs that provide advocacy, community outreach, and medical services related to sexual assault including overall operations of SAFE’s Eloise House. She also serves on a number of community task forces.

Prior to SAFE, Juliana was the Executive Director of the Austin Tenants’ Council where they provided direct services and advocacy for tenants in the Austin area, with a focus on low-income renters. She comes to SAFE with two decades of non-profit management experience, including launching clinical and community advocacy programs at El Buen Samaritano’s Title X Clinic and Whole Woman’s Health of Austin, McAllen, Beaumont, San Marcos, and Baltimore.

Juliana has lived in Austin since 2001; she holds a Bachelor’s degree in Women’s Studies and Spanish from the University of Arizona.
