Did you use SAFEline during the COVID-19 pandemic? If so, we want to hear from you!

SAFE is collaborating with the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) to evaluate SAFEline’s text and chat services.

The research team will be doing interviews with anyone that used the hotline during the COVID-19 pandemic. Any individual, age 18 and older, that used our hotline (SAFEline) between March 2020-March 2022 is eligible to participate in the interview.

These interviews are an opportunity for clients to share experiences accessing and receiving services during COVID-19; share needs (met and unmet) and ideas about what additional services and changes are needed to better serve SAFEline chat and text clients.

Confidential interviews will be conducted over the phone, via video conference, or in-person as you prefer. All interviews are completely voluntary.

Participants will be compensated with a gift card.

The interview will ask about…

  • Your demographics (age, gender, race/ethnicity)
  • Your experiences during COVID-19
  • Your needs when accessing the hotline during COVID-19 as well as current needs
  • The impact accessing the hotline had on your life
  • Your ideas on potential improvements to SAFE services and SAFEline
  • Your overall level of satisfaction with their SAFE interactions

Your participation in these interviews is completely voluntary and will not influence, positively or negatively, your access to our services in any way.
