Saying thanks to our generous community of volunteers

Written by SAFE

Our work to stop violence and abuse wouldn’t be possible without our dedicated volunteers! April 17-23 was National Volunteer Week and we’re saying THANK YOU all week long!

Celebrating 40 years of Frankie Fowler

Over the last four decades, Frankie Fowler has provided more than 26,650 hours of volunteer services to countless survivors and community members through her work for SAFE. We cannot thank Frankie enough for her longstanding commitment to SAFE and the Austin community.

Frankie started as a volunteer with SafePlace in 1981, and since then has dedicated thousands of volunteer hours to supporting SAFE’s many programs, including answering hotline calls, educating kids in the Expect Respect program, and most recently representing SAFE at community education events.

Frankie has also been a long time donor to SAFE, and has been giving regular monthly donations for over a decade. Thank you Frankie for your extraordinary support of SAFE and the people we serve! We love you!

Thank you, Ryan Coover!

Ryan is a founding member of the SAFE Men’s Engagement Group, volunteers with children at the SAFE Children’s Shelter, donates art supplies, food, and so much more. We are so grateful for you!

To all of our volunteers, thank you for making our mission yours!
